Asbestos Removal Licenses

There are two licenses available to complete the licensed removal of asbestos. The type of license, Class A or Class B, depends on the type and quantity of asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM) undergoing removal. We are fully Class A and B Asbestos Removal Certified.

Asbestos Licenses Explained

PCBUs are the only entities that can apply for, and hold, a Class A or B asbestos removal licence.

Class A licences give the holder the ability to remove any type or quantity of asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM) , including:

Any amount of friable asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM)
Any amount of asbestos-contaminated dust or debris (ACD)
Any amount of non-friable asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM)

Class B licences give the holder the ability to remove:

Any amount of non-friable asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM)
Asbestos-contaminated dust or debris (ACD) associated with removing non-friable asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM)

No licence is required for:

Up to and including 10 m² of non-friable asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM), cumulatively over the whole course of the removal project for the site.
asbestos-contaminated dust or debris (ACD) that is:
- associated with removing 10 m2 or less of non-friable asbestos or asbestos-containing material (ACM)
- not associated with the removal of friable or non-friable asbestos and is only a minor contamination
